I counted the zeros in the number of title. Yes, you are right, it is really a huge mud tank system with a storage capacity of 35000bbl, involving totally 70 vertical mud tanks, each having a volume of 80cbm. This mud plant system is used for an international mud liquid service company as a comprehensive mud plant.

This mud tank system includes following sections:

1. Solids control section of the drilling liquid system. It contains 3 steps of separation equipment including a shale shaker GNZS594F, a middle speed decanter centrifuge GNLW452D and a high speed decanter centrifuge GNLW363C. The 3 equipment are chosen per different cutting point. For example, the GNZS594F is used for separating out the particles larger than 100 microns, a middle speed GNLW452D is for particles from 5 to 7 microns, and a GNLW363C high speed centrifuge are used for fine particles between 2 to 5 microns. Unlike a traditional solids control system, this section by-passes the desanding cones and desilter cones. In practice, it is really meaningful to do so, cause the shale shaker and centrifuges are more efficient than desander and desilter cones, and by dropping the cones, the client can save 2 large power pumps for feeding.

2. The mixing section. This section is combined by 4 sets of centrifugal pumps and 4 sets of mud mixing hoppers. The well designed pipelines can ensure the pumps and hoppers to be work independently and also work together. Under the suction force generated by the centrifugal pumps, the Venturi Hopper can suck in chemicals along with drilling mud to effect the mixing work.

3. Vertical tanks in cylinder shape. The most grand sighted are the mud tanks. They are huge cylinders each holding a 80 cbm volume. There are totally 70 sets of such tanks. They are vertically designed in order to save space.
