Construction works help the cities to be more beautiful and convenient, but when comes to the waste generated from construction projects, it is less pleasant. Such waste shall always be removed and disposed safely and suitably. In most countries, especially the well developed countries, the slurry treatment along with construction works are musts.

Such a system can help to dry the slurry, to reuse the water and to remove the solids, which are mostly sands and soil safely. We call it dewatering. Recently, GN Solids Control has offered a slurry dewatering system to North America, which includes:

1. Coarse shaker: the 1st step shall be the coarse shaker, because at this stage, there are still large obstacles in the slurry, if those obstacles are allowed into next equipment, they may damage the pumps or so. Coarse shakers use coarse screens with large gaps.

2. Double deck shale shaker: GNZS706 is a very popular shale shaker model in oil and gas projects and also for large TBM’s. For this construction project, client also chose GNZS706 with totally 6 pieces of screens, each deck 3. Screens are made of steel frame covered by rubber for long time service life.

3. Desilter cyclones. GNZJ703F-16N is a desilter model with drying screens on beneath. The cyclones can remove particles of 20 microns.

4. Decanter centrifuge. GNLW553C-VFD is used by this project. It is a large bowl decanter centrifuge with 22 inch. It’s theoretical capacity could reach up to 60cbm per hour. It is a large bowl centrifuge, but not the largest in GN centrifuge family. GN Solids Control can make centrifuges with bowl diameter up to 30 inch diameter bowl, and the smallest one is only 9 inch bowl ones.

5. Chemical dosing system. A GNDW-2000 dewatering unit are compact chemical dosing which can prepare particles automatically.
