Technology is changing our lives rapidly, and people are travelling farther and faster with the help of airlines, trains, subways and etc. Recent years, the development of express trais is quite impressive. It is comparable more economy way for travelling. Comparing with airlines, it cost less time for waiting and more convenient to achieve, and comparing with normal railways, they are much faster. It is becoming more and more popular between cities. Like between the 2 biggest cities in China, Beijing and Shanghai, there is an express train every 30 minutes. Between Beijing and Tianjin, the 2 adjacent big cities, the commuting time is only half an hour.

For building such works, large Tunnel Bored Machines are requested, and accordingly, large capacity mud recycling machines are needed, too. Also, considering the environment protection requirement and also the convenience for transporting the waste, the slurry shall be treated to the most thoroughly. GN Solids Control, as a leading separation solution provider, has a complete system for such work:

1. Slurry plant with compact structure, including the 1st step separation with a shale shaker, a 2nd step including desander or desilter cones, or both as the 2nd and 3rd steps. If this cannot meet the high standard for separation, then the decanter centrifuge shall be invited in, as in this recent project.

2. Decanter centrifuge. A decanter centrifuge is used to separate out the particles between 2 and 5 microns, which are above the desilter cone’s capability. And for large TMB machines and slurry plants, the matching decanter centrifuge should be large too, like for this project, GNLW764A-VFD is a decanter centrifuge with 30 inch diameter bowl.

3. Chemical dosing system: when the particle are even smaller than the centrifuge’s range, and such extra fine particles are requested to be removed, there shall be a chemical dosing unit for flocculating and demusifying. In this project, it is a GNDW-6000L chemical dosing unit with 6000L capacity.
